Brighton's Colin Hawkins is this week flying to Germany to see a specialist - although he has not ruled out being available for Saturday.
The former Coventry centre-half has been playing through the pain of a groin injury over the last few weeks and may have to go under the knife in a bid to cure the problem.
"To be honest it has actually settled down a bit in the last week since I booked the operation," he said.
"But I'll go over and have a chat. She is a top specialist and maybe I'll be able to come back and be available for next Saturday.
"That's what I would hope to happen. If not, the reason I'm going there is because she will have me back in a week. Normally it could be six weeks so it's great that club are sending me over."
