Swansea defender Steve Watt is set to sign a new contract and is prepared to go out on loan in order to win a first-team place.
Despite agreeing the terms of the deal a fortnight ago, the 22-year-old Scot has yet to put pen to paper.
But he is confident that the deal will be formalised when he returns from Scotland to the Liberty Stadium - and knows he could be heading out on loan.
Watt said: "I have spoke to the gaffer (Roberto Martinez) and it is just a matter of me coming in and signing.
"If Roberto feels that it is best for me to go out on loan, then I'm more than happy to do so.
"Once I sit down with Roberto this week I'm sure that is one of the things that will be discussed," he told the South Wales Evening Post.
