Defender Paul Ritchie is all but certain to leave Walsall for pastures new following the Saddlers' relegation to Division Two.
Ritchie, whose form last season earned him a recall to the Scotland squad, is now open to offers after his contract expired.
The 28-year-old joined Walsall from Manchester City at the start of the season and would have been entitled to a contract extension on similar terms to the original had the club retained their First Division status.
And the player's agent, David Baldwin, said: "Paul completed the 30 league appearances he needed to trigger the offer of a new contract but that scenario no longer applies because Walsall did not stay up.
"It's pretty sure he is almost certain to leave Walsall now.
"Paul's not come to any firm decision about where he definitely does or doesn't want to be next season and I am certain there will be no lack of interest."
