Midfielder Kris Taylor has put pen to paper on a new one-year deal at Walsall after making his first-team breakthrough in January.

The 20-year-old, who has worked his way up through the youth ranks at the Bescot, was on the scoresheet on his debut, although the Saddlers went on to lose 3-2 at Stoke.

Taylor went on to make a total of 11 senior appearances during the 2003-04 campaign.
