Chairman Steve Lansdown has revealed Bristol City have received no offers for Marvin Elliott and would not welcome any bids for the midfielder.
FA Cup holders Portsmouth, who the Robins face in a third round replay next week, have been heavily linked with a move for Elliott while Championship leaders Wolves are also reportedly interested in signing the 24-year-old.
Lansdown told the Bristol Evening Post: "There is always going to be speculation at this time of year. It is inevitable when clubs are restricted to doing business in such a short space of time.
"But I can say quite categorically that we have not received any offers for any of our players. There has been a lot of talk about Marvin Elliott in the newspapers, but as far as we are concerned he is here for the long haul.
"We have looked after Marvin, he is on a long-term contract and he is happy at Bristol City. We don't want him to go anywhere.
"We are not in a position where we have to sell and we want to improve our squad, not see it reduced."
