Angelo Balanta could be handed a place in the QPR squad for the clash with Nottingham Forest at Loftus Road.

The teenage striker scored twice for the reserves in midweek to give under-pressure boss Iain Dowie some food for thought with his side having found the net just once in their last four games.

On-loan Fiorentina frontman Samuel Di Carmine is unlikely to be involved, however, after limping out of the reserve game with an ankle knock.

Centre-half Damion Stewart was due back from international duty with Jamaica on Friday and his fitness will be assessed while Akos Buzsaky, Kaspars Gorkss and Damien Delaney have returned from their World Cup qualifiers unscathed.

Striker Rowan Vine is the only other injury absentee as he continues his recovery from a broken leg.

Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood is poised to hand a debut to Carl Fletcher following his loan move from Crystal Palace.

The 28-year-old midfielder, who has joined on a six-week deal, will line up alongside Wales international colleague Robert Earnshaw who is set to return to the side.

Striker Earnshaw has missed the Reds' last three matches with a hamstring injury, and despite having a slight reaction during training, he is expected to be available.

On-loan Liverpool winger Paul Anderson will also hope to be involved after two outings for the reserves following a groin injury.

Calderwood is unlikely to consider Joe Garner (knee ligament) and Lewis McGugan (thigh) who are not quite ready for first-team action after recovering from their respective injures.

Midfielder Guy Moussi (ankle) is definitely out but Julian Bennett and Garath McCleary, who missed last week's trip to Ireland with slight knocks, will be fit.
