Having turned down the Charlton job because he was happy at Hull, Peter Taylor has refused to rule out taking over at Crystal Palace.
Former Palace player Taylor had seemed set for a long stay at the KC stadium after pulling out of the running for the Addicks post, but as speculation mounts surrounding Iain Dowie's possible successor, Hull fans again face the prospect of losing their manager.
Taylor told the Croydon Advertiser: "I don't really want to get involved in too much speculation, after what happened with me at Charlton. Everyone knew I had an interview and it made life difficult.
"All I will say is that Palace are a big club, and Iain did a very good job there. I was sorry to see him go.
"I enjoyed my time as a player at the club immensely. So much so that I wish I hadn't left, because it all went wrong when I did.
"Even though I was only with the club three years, the place still holds a lot of memories for me. Palace will always have a special place in my heart."
