Peter Taylor has confirmed he will not be joining Roy Keane's coaching team at Ipswich.
Former Leicester and Hull boss Taylor held talks with Keane earlier this week about a coaching role at Portman Road, as the former Republic of Ireland international looks to transform their fortunes following a disastrous start to the season.
However, a deal could be not be agreed between all parties and Taylor, who left his role at Wycombe earlier this month, will look elsewhere as he looks to get back into football.
"We couldn't come to an agreement and it's best for all parties just to leave it at that," Taylor told The Sun.
Ipswich also confirmed in a statement they would not be offering Taylor a role.
"Senior management staff at the club and Mr Taylor held discussions over a possible role in support of the coaching team," read the statement.
"However, there will be no further progression of those talks."
