Sheffield United striker Laurens Ten Heuvel has revealed he would be delighted to join Grimsby on a permanent basis.
The 26-year-old had been given permission by the Blades to train and play in two pre-season games with the Mariners, and he scored on his debut in the 2-1 win at Boston on Saturday.
"I want to be involved again. I just want to play and I will see what happens at Grimsby," he told the Mariners' official website.
"Sheffield put me on the transfer list, so I don't know what is going to happen.
"Of course I would like to come to Grimsby. This is a good club, they play good football and I would like to join them."
