Crewe boss Dario Gradi is once again set to enforce a strict deadline for players to sign new contracts.
Gradi has made offers to Kenny Lunt, Stephen Foster, Ben Williams, Chris McCready, Tony Grant and Gareth Taylor and wants definite decisions from the players by the end of June.
The Alex chief has no specific date in mind but will have no out-of-contract players in his squad for their pre-season training camp in Portugal.
He said: "We won't have players here at the start of our pre-season who are not our players and we certainly won't be taking those players with us to Portugal.
"I won't wait forever for them and the players involved know that because I may have to get some replacements in if they don't.
"It works both ways and I'm confident that a number of those players will stay with us. We may also lose a couple but we'll deal with that and see where we are if and when that happens."
