Kenny Lunt could be on his way to Wolves, according to Crewe boss Dario Gradi.
Gradi has offered his 26-year-old captain a new contract at Gresty Road but believes staying in the Championship may be in the player's best interests.
He told Crewe's official website: "If Glenn Hoddle is telling Kenny that he wants him to play in central midfield in his first team next season at Wolves, then I have to turn around to him and advise Kenny that is the best move for his career."
A host of clubs including Crystal Palace, Leicester and Southampton are being linked with the player who was one of Crewe's best performers this season as the Railwaymen were relegated to League One.
