Coventry midfielder Jay Tabb remains in contention for Crystal Palace's visit to the Ricoh Arena.

The energetic midfielder suffered no ill-effects after making his return from a rib injury in Monday night's 1-0 victory over midlands rivals Birmingham.

Sky Blues boss Chris Coleman said: "Jay is okay. I knew he wouldn't last the whole game at St Andrew's but he went on longer than I thought.

"That will do him good for Saturday and it is good for us because he provides great balance for us."

After scoring the winning goal against his former club on Monday, Clinton Morrison will be hoping he keeps his place in the side against another of his old employers.

Fellow striker Leon McKenzie is closing in on a return after suffering a torn thigh muscle five weeks ago.
