Joe Ledley is the latest Wales youngster to pull out of the World Cup qualifiers with Finland and Liechtenstein.
The Cardiff midfielder had a scan on a pelvic problem which was inconclusive on Tuesday, but he visited a specialist in the Welsh capital -on Wednesday agreed jointly by Wales and the Championship side - and it was concluded the injury would not take playing two internationals.
Wales fly to Helsinki on Thursday for Saturday's group four match with Finland, and then play their last qualifier against Liechtenstein in Vaduz on Wednesday.
Ledley, 22, joins Jack Collison, Simon Davies and Brian Stock as midfielders who have already withdrawn from this trip.
But skipper Craig Bellamy has been cleared to travel after picking up a knee problem while scoring in Manchester City's 1-1 draw at Aston Villa on Monday.
West Ham's Danny Gabbidon withdrew yesterday with a calf injury, but Wales boss John Toshack will not call up any extra players.
Sheffield United striker Ched Evans will revert to the under-21 squad who play Bosnia-Herzegovina at Wrexham on Saturday in a UEFA championship qualifier.
