Brighton chief executive Martin Perry insists the Seagulls are targeting a top of the table finish in League One next season.
Perry also highlighted the importance of fans' support to boost the Seagulls' finances as they plan for an instant return to the Championship.
"Clearly the target next season will be to be making a challenge at the top part of the table," Perry told the club's official website.
"We will continue to be prudent as we can be, making sure our cost base is a low as we can make it and trying to maximise our income while remaining competitive.
"We need our fans' support more than ever this season. One of the big things is attendances. We will be able to manage then for a considerable time."
