Bradford boss Bryan Robson admits he could stay to lead the club in the Second Division next season.
Robson and assistant Colin Todd were handed contracts until May 9 but following the club's relegation there had been speculation the pair would move on.
However, he told the Bradford Telegraph & Argus: "There is a good chance I will stay if the club come out of administration and have got a solid grounding for next season.
"Of course nothing definite can be said until the club sort themselves out.
"There's some good potential at this football club but the financial side of it has to be sorted out first and they have to come out of administration."
The news would come as a boost to Bantams fans but, with the club's financial future still very much up in the air, managing director Shaun Harvey admitted Robson's future would have to remain the subject of speculation.
He said: "Bryan Robson has done nothing to preclude himself from the manager's job and discussions have taken place with regards the playing squad for next season, which saw three players released last week.
"But at this moment in time the difficulty we've got is that we can't reach an agreement between the two parties while we are in administration."
