• The top club will be promoted, subject to meeting the Scottish Premier League's criteria. Should the top team not meet the Premier League's criteria for promotion, it will not be promoted.
• The bottom club will be automatically relegated.
• The second-bottom club will enter the play-offs with the teams finishing second, third and fourth in Division Two.
• Teams finishing level on points are separated by goal difference. If goal difference is identical then the team scoring most goals finishes higher.
• In the event of goal difference and goals scored being identical, a play-off may be held if necessary.
