Fleetwood's promotion hopes took a blow as they had to battle back to draw 2-2 in the Lancashire derby with struggling Morecambe.
The home side opened the scoring within 10 minutes of kick off when Antoni Sarcevic slipped a free-kick from 20 yards into the bottom left-hand corner.
But Morecambe battled back and were level before the half hour. A swift break earned the visitors a corner and James Devitt's ball to the back post wwas headed home by skipper Mark Hughes.
Fleetwood should have been ahead before the break, David Ball's work down the left saw off the attention of former Town man Shaun Beeley but Ryan Edwards hacked Iain Hume's shot off the line.
Neither side got a grip on a scrappy second half, but Morecambe did grab a second when Padraig Amond was given too much space down the left and his cross was flicked past Chris Maxwell by Fleetwood defender Nathan Pond.
It looked over but former Preston pair Jon Parkin and Iain Hume combined to draw the Cod Army level, substutute Parkin's shot was saved and the ball spilled loose to Hume for a tap in.
Morecambe could have grabbed a winner but Charlie Taylor's dramatic diving header denied Robbie Threlfall from close range.
