Bolton boss Dougie Freedman praised goalkeeper Adam Bogdan as the Trotters played out a goalless draw with Leicester tonight.

Both teams had their fair share of chances, but young keepers Bogdan and Kasper Schmeichel both had spectacular games between the sticks and duly kept all attempts out of their nets.

Freedman has now claimed four points from a possible six since moving to the Reebok Stadium, and Wanderers remain in 17th place.

On the whole, Freedman was pleased with the result and his team's improved display in defence.

He said: "It was a great game of football with great moments of attacking play and even better defending.

"The defence has been something that hasn't being great here previously and over the time I've been here it seems to have improved dramatically.

"I didn't think that they deserved to win the game but they did create plenty of chances.

"Luckily for us though Adam (Bogdan) showed how good of a young goalkeeper he is to get a clean sheet for us .

"I've learnt that these players have shown their willingness to stop the ball from going into the back of the net.

"We worked very hard for that result tonight and we won't have to work as hard as that to win some games.

It was the first time this season that Leicester had not managed to score, but the draw did halt a run of two straight defeats for City.

The Foxes continued their record of never having won a league game at the Reebok, and they dropped to fifth place having been top of the table just three games ago.

Leicester assistant manager Craig Shakespeare believed his side should have taken all three points

He said: "We came for the win, because in the Championship it's important that you keep winning to build on the momentum.

"Everyone in that dressing room is a little disappointed but to pick up a point away from home against a good side is always a plus.

"The experts say when you're on top you've got to take your chances.

"We didn't do that, partly down to their goalkeeper being in terrific form and they came into the game in that second half.

"We were really pleased with our lads tonight because after two games they have shown us that they have the will to win.

"It was back to how we played earlier on in the season and if we keep playing like that we will win games."
