Striker Campbell faces a couple of weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring strain while centre-half Shittu could be set for a long spell out due to an Achilles injury.
Campbell's strike partner Steve Morison was forced off during Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat at Blackpool with a neck injury so he faces a fitness test.
Jermaine Easter (thigh) and Nicky Bailey (back) will miss out again but full-back Scott Malone could return after a foot injury.
Charlton defender Chris Solly is still a few weeks away from a return to action.
The 23-year-old right-back, who has been Charlton's player of the year for the last two seasons, has missed virtually the whole of this campaign with a knee injury.
Solly suffered the injury in August which kept him out until Christmas, when he made a brief comeback only to suffer a recurrence of the problem.
But Addicks coach Alex Dyer is hopeful he will be back before the end of the season.
"He will start training in a couple of weeks," said Dyer.
"He's already in light training. Next week hopefully he'll be out training with the team and I would think it will be another couple of weeks after that.
"We're hoping to have him back before the end of the season."
