  • Thanks for all your contributions today and I hope you've enjoyed the action. There's only three points between the top three in the top flight so there's all to play for. In the meantime, join us right here for coverage of Arsenal v Newcastle in the Monday Night Football.

  • The whistle blows and Manchester City have claimed a vital 2-0 victory. Their destiny is back in their own hands and they can go top, for a time at least, of the Premier League with a win at Everton in the Saturday Night Football clash next weekend.

  • Free kick to Palace on the right is sent into the middle by Ward but it's too high and comfortable for Hart to catch. That's about that.

  • Tom Ince tries to make an impact but he gets in a mess and is crowded out. A cross from the right towards Gayle is then gathered in by Hart.

  • Fernandinho's mis-hit cross from the right almost drifts into the far corner but Speroni just about had it covered. There will be a minimum of three minutes added on at the end of the 90.

  • Half a chance for Murray but he's in an offside position.

  • A final change and Alvaro Negredo has come on for Edin Dzeko, who scored the opening goal of the match.

  • Nasri sets up Jovetic on the edge of the Palace area but his shot is blocked at source.

  • City seeing this out in decent style now and come forward through Jovetic but Kolarov gives it away.

  • Another shot on goal from Dzeko but it's straight at the goalkeeper.

  • Murray and Mariappa combine to good effect but the final ball through towards Puncheon is easily seen behind for a goal kick by Demichelis. The final ball has just been lacking for the home side today.

  • It's all Palace now as City sit deep and defend this two-goal lead. Kompany stands firm again as Murray tries to lift a pass over the top.

  • Palace haven't played badly at all here today but there're starting to look a bit leggy. They've had enough of the ball but haven't created a great deal in front of goal.

  • Kompany in hard on Ince, whose skills win him a free kick on the left touchline. Puncheon delivers but it's a poor one and Zabaleta can clear with a diving header.

  • Aguero is replaced by Stevan Jovetic. The Argentinian looks absolutely spent and clearly isn't fully fit. I doubt he has been all season.

  • The game has opened up a little as Palace push forward but Kolarov's excellent low cross from the left somehow evades everyone.

  • Corner to Palace after Gayle shot/cross deflects behind off Demichelis. There's plenty of shoving in the box but City break away through Aguero.

  • A big shout for a Palace penalty from the home crowd but nothing much from the players after Ince goes down under a Milner challenge.

  • Fernandinho penalised for a heavy challenge and Palace have a chance to put it into the box.

  • A final change for Palace as Bolasie is replaced by Tom Ince.
