  • It's all over and Wigan can look forward to a trip to Wembley after booking their first-ever FA Cup semi-final appearance with a comprehensive 3-0 victory against Everton. The dejected Toffees' wait for a first trophy since 1995 continues for another season and David Moyes' men must now concentrate their efforts on their bid for a top-four finish in the Premier League. Although on this evidence, that doesn't look too likely.

  • Baines is unmarked on the left edge of the box following Pienaar's pass but he slices it well wide of the post.

  • Everton's day is summed up when Osman's shot inside the box is parried by Robles before Jelavic's attempted header at a virtually empty goal goes wide.

  • Wigan make their final change with Roman Golobart coming on for Alcaraz.

  • There will be four minutes of stoppage time to get through before Wigan can officially celebrate victory.

  • Kone sprints forward looking to add the gloss to Wigan's victory but Distin is quicker and manages to clear the danger.

  • Everton keep trying to get forward but their efforts feel almost like a token gesture now.

  • I'm still yet to receive any emails thanking me for the 6/1 tip on Wigan to win!

  • There's plenty of empty blue seats visible now as the clock ticks down to full time while the ecstatic Wigan fans are taking this rare opportunity to sing the Wembley song.

  • On the other hand Mucha, who has picked the ball out of his net three times, has been forced to make several decent saves this afternoon.

  • Barkley's miss highlights another of Everton's problems today - they just haven't tested Robles enough. The Latics stopper has hardly had a save to make.

  • Lapse defending from Wigan allows Anichebe's low cross to reach Barkley inside the box but the sub drives his shot over the bar.

  • Moyes will only be able to blame his own side's performance on this FA Cup exit. There can be no other excuses to explain such a deflating result for the blue half of Merseyside.

  • With just 10 minutes plus stoppage time to play, Everton need a footballing miracle.

  • Wigan by contrast must put aside thoughts of Wembley to focus on their relegation battle but if they can produce similar performances like today, they should be fine.

  • The Toffees do at least have the consolation of having fourth place in the Premier League to fight for after this defeat, so it's not as if their season is over.

  • Everton make their third and final substitution with Ross Barkley coming on for Mirallas.

  • Roberto Martinez will probably be surprised that his side haven't really been put under the cosh in this second half while opposite number Moyes will be bitterly disappointed.

  • Mirallas takes the corner but his cross goes out of play for a goal kick on the opposite side, pretty much summing up Everton's attacking threat today.

  • Everton have a corner after Alcaraz blocks Mirallas' cross on the left.
