Dundee United skipper Jon Daly is fit for Wednesday's Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash with Motherwell after suffering no ill-reaction to a calf injury in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Celtic.

Winger Gary Mackay-Steven is also in contention to start after coming off the bench and scoring the first goal to spark the Taysiders' comeback following his recent spell on the sidelines due to a knee operation.

However, French defender Gregory Vignal is still absent after his recent hamstring tear.

Motherwell have no fresh injury concerns ahead.

Boss Stuart McCall expects to name a similar side to the one that defeated St Johnstone in their last outing.

The match at Fir Park is likely to come too soon for Shaun Hutchinson (hamstring), while Steven Saunders is still out following knee surgery.
