Swansea striker Michu will undergo a late fitness test on his ankle problem to determine his availability for the New Year's Day meeting with Aston Villa at the Liberty Stadium.

The Spaniard missed the 2-1 win at Fulham but is in with a chance of being involved against Villa, while Angel Rangel is also a doubt with a calf problem.

Laudrup could decide to keep Danny Graham up front after the striker scored the opener at Craven Cottage, while Ben Davies, Chico Flores, Michel Vorm and Leon Britton could all be restored to the starting line-up after being rested.

Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph will return after suspension.

But Villa's lengthy injury list shows little sign of improving as they look to recover from three heavy defeats in which they have conceded 15 goals against Chelsea, Tottenham and Wigan.

Striker Darren Bent (hamstring) and Gabriel Agbonlahor (thigh), winger Charles N'Zogbia (knee) and defenders Ron Vlaar (calf), Nathan Baker (hamstring) and long-term casualty Richard Dunne (knee) remain sidelined.
