  • The referee blows the whistle for the last time and Blackburn have earned a very credible draw against one of England's in-form teams. It's a replay at the Etihad Stadium then, and Rovers will be able to take plenty of stock from a determined display at home.

  • Jordan Rhodes tries to find some of his goal-scoring prowess as he opens his body to try curl one into the top corner, but he can't get his shot to come back down as it sails well over the bar.

  • Blackburn will probably be all too happy to hear the full-time whistle go now, with the Chmapionship outfit able to take plenty of stock from a draw against one of the Premier League's front runners. I told you in the beginning, nothing can be taken for granted in the FA Cup!

  • The fourth official shows there will be four minutes added on here at the end of the match. Squeaky bum time for both sets of supporters.

  • We're into the final minute of the 90, and this would be the perfect time for either side to snatch what in all likelihood would be the winner. Hold on to your hats...

  • Third and final change for Man City now, and it's a very defensive one as Pablo Zabaleta comes on in place of David Silva, with Manuel Pellegrini seemingly happy to take a draw back to Eastlands.

  • So close to a potential winner for Blackburn now as DJ Campbell cuts the ball across the area from the byline to find Jordan Rhodes, but his curling effort flashes just the wrong side of the post as the Blackburn supporters are left holding their heads in their hands.

  • We're into the final five minutes here at Ewood Park, and are we in for a late surprise? Well, we've just got one, although not of the goal variety as Dedryck Boyata is sent off. It was a ridiculous challenge from the defender who just went straight through his man, leaving the referee with little choise but to produce a second yellow card and subsequent red.

  • Blackburn's recent substitutes almost combine to deadly effect, with Jordan Rhodes taking his time out wide before crossing in to pick out DJ Campbell, although he can't quite keep his header on target as the ball fizzes just the wrong side of the up-right.

  • Gilt-edge chance for Manchester City now, but they waste it! Edin Dzeko's plays a lovely ball out wide to spring a counter attack, with Jesus Navas eventually being played in behind, although a rush of blood to the head sees the forward lash wildly at his effort, spraying the ball well wide of the mark to draw a collective sigh of relief from the home fans.

  • Double change for Blackburn now as they look to snatch a potential late winner, with Jordan Rhodes coming on for Rudy Gestede while Ben Marshall makes way for DJ Campbell.

  • City look to be throwing everything forward in these final 10 minutes, although Blackburn have all 11 men behind the ball and could just look to play on the counter-attack.

  • Scott Dann again finds himself in the right place at the right time to just get his head to the ball ahead of the attacker to flick the ball behind for safety.

  • The second of those set pieces is played short, although to zero effect as the ball is eventually lumped over to the far post before being headed behind for a goal kick.

  • Jesus Navas' first contribution to the goal is to draw a very fine save from Paul Robinson, who gets down well to palm the forward's bouncing effort behind for a corner, which Scott Dann deals with but at the cost of another corner...

  • City goal scorer Alvaro Negredo heads to the dugout now as Manuel Pellegrini brings him off for Jesus Navas, who will undoubtedly be set to run the line ragged for the final 15 or so minutes.

  • Blackburn manager Gary Bowyer must be itching to get Blackburn's leading scorer Jordan Rhodes on the field, unless the boss actually wants a replay, but with that set to take place at the Etihad Stadium, I can't for the life of me see that being the case.

  • Negredo has been all over the place today, and for a side who have so far enjoyed the best chance-to-goal ratio this term, the Spain international has been dreadfully wasteful today. Will Manchester City pay the ultimate price for that profligacy? I think we'll soon find out...

  • Excellent tracking from Tommy Spurr as he follows Alvaro Negredo into the area to just get to a through ball ahead of the striker to poke behind. The Manchester City striker gets another chance from the corner as he rises unmarked, but he can't keep his header down and puts the ball well over.

  • Dedryck Boyata becomes the second player to see yellow this afternoon as he bundles Joshua King over from behind.
