Everton boss Roberto Martinez has indicated he will make changes for Saturday's FA Cup third-round clash with Sky Bet Championship promotion-chasers QPR at Goodison Park.

Nikica Jelavic: Could start for Everton
Nikica Jelavic: Could start for Everton

It means striker Nikica Jelavic could make his first start since September, while it remains to be seen whether or not there is involvement for defender Johnny Heitinga, who is seeking a move but turned down a transfer to West Ham this week.

There are no fresh fitness concerns in the Toffees squad but they will still be missing the players who were absent through injury from the 1-1 Barclays Premier League draw at Stoke on New Year's Day, including defender Sylvain Distin (hamstring).

QPR look set to be without Junior Hoilett at Goodison Park.

Winger Hoilett suffered an apparent recurrence of his hamstring injury during the early stages of Wednesday's 2-1 home win over Doncaster and was replaced by Matty Phillips.

Skipper Clint Hill was left on the bench against Rovers despite recovering from illness so he could return at the back, but midfielder Alejandro Faurlin is out long term with a cruciate injury.

Goalkeeper Brian Murphy may get a rare run-out while the likes of Jermaine Jenas, Karl Henry and Armand Traore will push for recalls should boss Harry Redknapp rotate his squad.

Everton squad: Howard, Robles, Coleman, Alcaraz, Baines, Barry, McCarthy, Mirallas, Barkley, Pienaar, Lukaku, Oviedo, Hibbert, Heitinga, Stones, Osman, Naismith, Jelavic, Vellios.
