Bordeaux will be looking to end a ruinous run which has seen them fail to win in their last seven matches in all competitions when they take on Sochaux at home in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

Coach Francis Gillot saw an under-strength team defeated 2-1 by Maccabi Tel Aviv at the Stade Chaban-Delmas in the Europa League in midweek, a defeat which leaves them bottom of their Group F section.

The visit of Sochaux already has a relegation feel about it with French Cup holders Bordeaux 17th in Ligue 1 and Sochaux next to bottom.

To compound Bordeaux's problems they lost Nicolas Maurice-Belay and Landry N'Guemo to injury in midweek but the mood remains confident.

Holding midfielder Ludovic Lamine Sane told the club's official website: "We are playing at home. We must take every game regardless and win one after the other. It is possible to have a loss of power, but every game we always play to win."

Sochaux, meanwhile, travel to Bordeaux in buoyant mood after a 2-0 win against bottom club Valenciennes last weekend which ended a run of three straight defeats.

Midfielder Roy Contout and defender Sebastien Corchia will be available despite having been suspended for one game after picking up three yellow cards in less than 10 matches since the beginning of the season.

They will serve their suspension in the home match against Monaco in two weeks time, as will defender Cedric Kante.
