  • The final whistle blows and it's a famous 3-0 victory for Swansea in the Mestalla. The result never really looked in doubt following Rami's red card in the 10th minute. A fantastic performance from Michael Laudrup's side, who start their Europa League campaign with an ultimately comfortable away win.

  • There will be two minutes of added time and the whistle cannot come soon enough for Valencia.

  • Pabon goes on a long run and ends up near the byline on the left but nobody has been able to keep up and his cross is dealt with by Chico.

  • Swansea able to stroll around in the middle of the pitch and there has been an air of resignation around Valencia for a while now.

  • Shelvey tries to lob Guaita from all of 40 yards out but the 'keeper gets back on his line to pluck the ball from the air. A cheeky effort there from the former Liverpool man.

  • Swansea simply running the clock down when they have the ball now, and who can blame them?

  • Chico pulls Postiga down and the home side are awarded a free kick but they can't mount a serious challenge.

  • Close control from Pozuelo on the egde of the Valencia area but his attempted back-heel doesn't find its intended target.

  • Great skill from Bernat on the left to find space but his low cross takes a deflection and squirms through to Vorm.

  • Fuego shows a bit of fight on the left but he can only win a throw and Swansea deal with the threat.

  • The home side have responded to the noise from the crowd and are keeping the ball reasonably well but there's been a real dearth of attempts on Vorm's goal.

  • The Valencia fans are in full voice now but the players are playing for pride at this rate.

  • Shelvey does really well down the right side and fires in a nice cross but nobody can get on the end of it. That deserved a bit more.

  • Free kick on the edge of the box for Swansea but the wall does its job this time.

  • De Guzman wants another taste of the action but he just fails to get on the end of a cross from the left.

  • Michu the next man to be withdrawn and on comes Jonjo Shelvey.

  • Tiendalli's finds space down the right flank but his cross is hacked away.

  • Michu makes a darting run off the ball but de Guzman opts to hang onto the ball and play it back to Chico.

  • Valencia hit the byline on the left but the cross is blocked and Postiga's subsequent attempt on goal from outside the area drifts high and wide.

  • Swansea back in cruise control and steadily turning the screw on a leggy looking Valencia side.
