  • It's all over and Cardiff have won the first ever top-flight south Wales derby thanks to a second-half goal from former Swansea defender Steven Caulker. It may not have been a classic for the neutral but the home fans won't care one bit as the celebrations on this special occasion begin in the pouring rain. The result lifts Cardiff above Swansea in the table to 12th but there's no doubt it's the local bragging rights which mean much more at the moment.

  • Cardiff win a corner on the right but they only use it to keep the ball down there and run down the clock.

  • Swansea clear their lines from the corner but they've lost all composure at the moment and fail to mount an attack.

  • Whittingham goes for goal from the resulting free kick but Angel is able to push the ball over the bar without any kind of goalkeeping technique.

  • Not only are Swansea down to 10 men, but because they've used their three substitutes, Angel is the outfield player chosen to go in net.

  • Campebell chases a long ball forward and only has Vorm to beat. The striker heads it past the Swans goalkeeper, who then brings him down just outside the box, giving Mike Dean no option but to show the red card.

  • The corner is defended well and there will now be five minutes of additional time to be played.

  • The initial corner comes to nothing but Swansea win another when a fierce shot from Pozuelo on the left edge of the box is brilliantly parried behind by Marshall.

  • De Guzman drills his shot over the wall and although it's straight at Marshall, the slippery ball squirms through his hands and just goes wide of the post.

  • Swansea have a free kick around 35 yards out which de Guzman will take.

  • Medel leaves the field to a very well-deserved enthusiastic applause from the home crowd, and Bo-Kyung Kim comes on in his place.

  • The first yellow card of the game is eventually shown to Whittingham, who cuts down Chico with a needlessly fierce tackle.

  • The hard-working Medel slides in to tackle Bony on the edge of the box just when the Swansea striker was preparing a snap shot.

  • The rain is getting heavier here at the Cardiff City Stadium but that certainly won't dampen the mood of the home fans if the score stays like this.

  • Back at the other end of the pitch De Guzman's cross into the box is cleared by Neil Naylor as Cardiff desperately try to hang onto this precious lead.

  • Bellamy advances down the left wing, beating Chico for pace, before cutting a low pass back for Campbell, who sees his crisp first-time shot blocked.

  • The was Routledge's last action of the match as he leaves the field to be replaced by Alvaro Vazquez.

  • Routledge is forced into a shot after cutting inside from the left but he slices the ball well wide of the far post.

  • Swansea are dominating possession but there's just no way through these red shirts of Cardiff.

  • Cardiff have been so well organsied at the back this afternoon, making it so difficult for Swansea to create any kind of opportunity to get back on level terms.
