Bordeaux boss Francis Gillot is hoping his team can take advantage of their long break when they face Reims on Saturday.

Les Girondins have not been in action for 15 days since they lost 2-0 to Paris St Germain, a result that left them with just one win in five Ligue 1 games.

And while Gillot admits that a lack of games can sometimes prove a hindrance, he is hoping that the rest will help his team to get back on track.

"I think we have recovered the freshness with this break of 15 days," he told a press conference.

"We also have the return of some injured players even if they are not 100 per cent.

"We had to play five games in 15 days. If we were to have a break, it might be a good time, especially since we were not in good form.

"We were able to work before 15 matches that will be all important if we want to get back up. It is imperative to take points."

Reims sit two points above Bordeaux in the table but have lost their last two home games and Gillot is hoping to take advantage of their sketchy form.

"There was a time, they won all matches at home and lost away," he said. "At the moment, it is the opposite.

"They have good momentum, it is difficult to outmanoeuvre them as a team.

"They play a 4-3-3 with generous and talented players and they win matches. I'm expecting a tough game."

Lucas Orban misses out against Reims through suspension while Jussie, Jeremie Brechet and Diego Rolan are all injured.

Kossi Agassa, Diego, Bilel Ouali and Quentin Pereira (all knee) will be missing for the home side along with Mohamed Fofana (groin) and Sacha Bastien (elbow).
