  • Middlesbrough deserved that win after playing with a bit of creation in the second half, whereas Millwall's long ball game was nullified repeatedly by the impressive Boro back four. It's a rare away win for Aitor Karanka, one the travelling fans will savour for a long time. Thanks for joining me!

  • It's full time and it's a great result for Boro boss Aitor Karanka. A combination of resilient defending and superb counter-attacking play has won the game for the Teesside team. A great goal from Ledesma and a calm finish from Adomah mean it finishes 2-0 to Boro at the Den.

  • As the game draws to a close, the Millwall fans shout 'We want Lomas Out'.

  • Man of the match Ledesma lands very awkwardly after jumping with Keogh. Having landed on his arm, it'd be a great shame to see the midfielder's night end on a low point.

  • Butterfield breaks loose once again and fires in a 25 yard strike which is tipped wide by Forde.

  • There's going to be four minutes of added time.

  • Boos ring out around the Den, the Millwall fans are rightly aggrieved by their team's performance. Chants of 'Lomas Out' are audible.

  • It's 2-0 to Boro! The impressive Ledesma leads another counter-attack and plays a delightful through ball to Adomah. The Ghanaian remains calm and rounds Forde to tap the ball into an empty net.

  • Morision attempts to bundle his way through on goal but the Boro defence stay strong once again. An impressive performance so far from Karanka's back four.

  • CHANCE! Ledesma is played through on goal and opts for an audacious chip over Forde - who manages to get a finger-tip on the ball. Jutkiewicz follows up but is flagged offside.

  • Desperate play from Millwall summed up by a poor cross from Malone. Lack of composure from the full-back typifies a lacklustre performance from Lomas' side.

  • Curtis Main comes off for Lukas Jutkiewicz

  • Middlesbrough hit the Lions on the counter attack again. Butterfield plays it into Adomah, who has time to cut inside on the edge of the box and hit a disappointing shot down the middle of Forde's goal. There were options for the Ghanian, with Main and Butterfield free in the box.

  • CHANCE! A long ball is met by Keogh, who manages to release the ball for Trotter on the edge of the box. His scooped effort just flies over from 20 yards, brushing the top of Shay Given's net.

  • CHANCE! Ledesma's whipped corner is flicked on by Trotter - with the ball narrowly missing Forde's net. Smallwood then slices wide an effort.

  • Nice link up play between Main and Butterfield gives the latter a chance to fire in on goal. It's well blocked and deflects out for a corner.

  • Just over 15 minutes to go, and tensions are increasing in the Den. The Millwall faithful are disappointed at their side's poor display.

  • Jacob Butterfield comes on for Marvin Emnes. A solid night for the Dutchman.

  • Main goes down in a challenge from Dunne, with the Boro striker suggesting he was elbowed. The referee doesn't agree.

  • ANOTHER CHANCE! A lack of communication gives Emnes the ball 30 yards out, and after neat play between the Dutchman and Ledesma, the ball ends up in Smallwood's path 12 yards out who fires over. Poor miss.
