Newcastle skipper Fabricio Coloccini will miss Saturday's Barclays Premier League trip to Hull after being allowed to return to Argentina following a family bereavement.

No Coloccini for Newcastle

The central defender only made his comeback from injury in last Sunday's 1-0 victory over Aston Villa after missing the previous seven games.

Manager Alan Pardew will also be with out midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa (unspecified knock) and full-back Davide Santon (knee) once again, with both having missed the Villa game.

Hull welcome back in-form strike duo Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long.

The pair were cup-tied for the FA Cup fifth-round win over Brighton on Monday but should return alongside Tom Huddlestone and Alex Bruce, who missed that game with knocks.

Paul McShane (ankle) and Robbie Brady (groin) are the only long-term absentees and are unlikely to be seen again this season.

Teams:

Hull (from): McGregor, Harper, Davies, Bruce, Figueroa, Rosenior, Chester, Huddlestone, Elmohamady, Meyler, Quinn, Livermore, Boyd, Fryatt, Koren, Sagbo, Aluko, Long, Jelavic.

Newcastle (from): Krul, Elliot, Williamson, Yanga-Mbiwa, S. Taylor, Dummett, Haidara, Tiote, Anita, Marveaux, Sissoko, Gouffran, Sammy Ameobi, Gosling, Remy, Cisse, De Jong, Shola Ameobi, Armstrong.
