  • FT: It's all over at the Stadium of Light and Hull are 2-0 winners against 10-man Sunderland thanks to goals from Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic either side of the break after Wes Brown's early dismissal. 0-2.

  • Huddlestone's free-kick is straight at Mannone and the Sunderland goalkeeper collects it before Aluko is penalised for a strong challenge on Colback.

  • We're into the first of three minutes of stoppage time now with Hull camped inside the Sunderland half. Meyler wins a free-kick by the corner flag from Colback. That pretty much sums things up for the hosts. Frustrating afternoon.

  • O'Shea clears Huddlestone's initial free-kick before Mannone collects the loose ball from underneath the feet of McShane.

  • The home fans are starting to filter out of the Stadium of Light as Hull are awarded a free-kick in a crossing position which Meyler and Huddlestone stand over on the right. They're in no rush.

  • Robbie Brady replaces the scorer of the opening goal, Shane Long, for Hull City.

  • Gardner does go for goal but Aluko blocks, seemingly with his face. The ball is returned towards the danger zone and Harper commands his area well to punch away.

  • At one end, Mannone is forced off his line to smother the ball with Livermore charging in on goal, but Sunderland now have a free-kick in a shooting position which Gardner stands over.

  • Sunderland are applying a bit of pressure and Johnson's deflected cross falls to Gardner who is bundled over just inside the area. The referee waves play on and Hull can break.

  • Aluko is involved again, this time firing well over the bar from distance. He looks very eager to make an impression. Roy Hodgson has left the Stadium of Light by the way and the travelling fans continue chants of 'Davies for England'.

  • Aluko has looked lively since his arrival and he forces Mannone into a smart save to keep out his strike from the edge of the area. Corner to Hull.

  • Long blazes over from an acute angle after some smart play from Aluko who fed the striker with a perfectly-weighted through ball.

  • Elmohamady nods it back to Harper after a long ball over the top. Hull appear to be cruising to three points.

  • Hull also make a change as Sone Aluko returns from injury to replace goalscorer Nikica Jelavic.

  • Sunderland make an attack-minded change as Liam Bridcutt is replaced by Connor Wickham who will partner Altidore up front.

  • Jelavic is inches away from bagging his second of the afternoon. Long feeds Elmohamady down the right and his grass-cutting cross invites Jelavic. The striker attacks it at the near-post but his flick can only find the side-netting.

  • It's all a bit stop-start now and Long is flagged for offside. You'd imagine that if there is any way back into this for Sunderland, they're going to need something very shortly. They're yet to have any real sight on goal this half.

  • Colback is shoved off the ball by Meyler and Sunderland win a free-kick right in the middle of the centre circle before Jelavic then wins one off Bridcutt.

  • Jelavic can't quite get his shot away on the turn before Figueroa fires straight at Mannone from some distance. He's fancied a few of those this afternoon.
