  • Stay with for report and reaction from Carrow Road. Thanks for joining me this afternoon.

  • Redmond's goal proved to be the difference between two very evenly matched sides. Norwich will take a great deal of confidence into the international break, and though Southampton will reflect on their first defeat of the season, they played their part in a very entertaining game.

  • Norwich get their first win of the season!

  • Snodgrass wants a penalty after driving into the Saints box but Webb says no! Fonte cut across the Norwich winger and it looked a penalty to me.

  • Four added minutes for Norwich to hold out, and Ruddy begins the extra time by claiming another cross. The home keeper has been very solid.

  • ... which is well claimed by Ruddy.

  • Lambert is given a free-kick around 30 yards out, just off-centre, but the Norwich wall stands firm. Saints, however, win a corner...

  • Redmond leads a Norwich break and the winger again gets in the box before driving a shot at goal but Boruc makes a diving parry.

  • Lovren again brings the ball out from the back and sprays a lovely pass out to Chambers on the right. The Saints full-back, though, delivers a poor ball which is easily cleared.

  • Rodriguez is immediately involved when Lambert's fine lofted pass finds the substitute's chest but Ruddy springs from his line to smother the danger.

  • Osvaldo's full debut is over as the Italian makes way for Jay Rodriguez. Saints trying something different in their search for an equaliser.

  • Howson replaces Elmander as Norwich look to secure the midfield area.

  • Ward-Prowse blocks Johnson's long-range drive as Norwich knock the ball around confidently. Saints cannot get hold of the ball and Osvaldo resorts to fouling Garrido.

  • Schneiderlin makes way for Steven Davis. The Northern Irishman scored twice in the midweek League Cup win at Barnsley and Southampton need something similar today.

  • Southampton immediately set off in search an equaliser, but possession in the Norwich half leads only to a perfectly-timed crunching tackle from Turner on Lambert.

  • Redmond receives the ball on the right touchline before driving forward, throwing a step-over at Ward-Prowse and driving a low shot inside Boruc's near post. Great goal!

  • A Maradona-esque run from Saints centre-half Lovren is finally brought to an end by the Norwich defence. Step-overs, nutmegs, dummies - that dribble had it all!

  • A surprising substitution: Lallana goes off, with no apparent injury, and is replaced by Ramirez. The departing Saints skipper has looked like one of their biggest threats but Pochettino wants to try something different. Lambert takes the Southampton armband.

  • Osvaldo is down after being caught on the wrong end of Turner's elbow. It's not deliberate but it certainly wasn't a wise challenge by the Norwich defender.
