  • Thanks for following Moyes' first game with me. He and United fly to Sydney straight after this game, report and reaction from which will be on site soon.

  • As much as he would have liked to start with a win, Moyes won't be too concerned with this result so early into United's preparations for the new season. Positives: Januzaj looked bright and inventive; Zaha was a threat and went closest to a goal; and the absence of any other striking options will give Welbeck plenty of opportunity to work on his finishing before the Community Shield on August 11 and the start of their Premier League defence six days later.

  • And that's it. Welbeck's chance is the final action of the game and the All-Stars have beaten United.

  • Januzaj's out-swinging delivery lands on the head of Welbeck but his effort from seven yards drifts over the crossbar.

  • The All-Stars' biggest threat and goalscorer Winothai milks the applause as he is replaced. United are running out of time if they are to avoid defeat in Moyes' first game. They have a corner though...

  • United throw Ferdinand and Evans forward for a set-piece on the right but Januzaj fools everyone by sliding a pass down the outside of the two-man wall for Zaha. His cross, though, is sidefooted over everyone in the box and the threat passes.

  • United have stepped up the pace in the search for an equaliser but tame efforts from Lingard and then Januzaj are both directed straight at the goalkeeper.

  • Zaha hits the post! A stepover on the right corner of the box creates enough space for the winger to unleash a left-footed curler which crashes against the face of the far post. Great effort.

  • Great chance for Welbeck but his finish is woeful. The United striker does well to create space in the box but his close-range effort is dragged horribly wide of the far post.

  • Januzaj wins the ball back brilliantly as the All-Stars threaten to counter-attack but the referee does him no favours in denying him a free-kick when he is brought down close to the edge of the box.

  • That cross was Fabio's last contribution. The left-back is replaced by Evra.

  • Zaha gets his first opportunity in a United shirt, but his header at the far post following Fabio's cross drifts harmlessly wide. The delivery took Zaha's marker out of the game but the defender's mere presence was still enough to distract the winger.

  • Januzaj tests the goalkeeper with a long-rage effort but Taweekul passes the examination comfortably, parrying two-handed when diving to his right. With 18 minutes remaining, United have yet to cause the All-Stars' stopper any major concern.

  • Zaha gets one-on-one against his defender in the box but after a couple of stepovers, the United new boy goes down under little pressure and watches the ball drift harmlessly out of play.

  • Zaha has started wide on the right. His first touches result in Rafael finding space on the flank but his cross is too close to the goalkeeper.

  • Giggs, Anderson and Cleverley all make way for Zaha, Lingard and Jones. None of the departing trio really made an impact during the hour they played; perhaps youngsters Zaha and Lingard can inject some pace and intensity.

  • Here comes a triple change for United. Zaha, Lingard and Jones wait to come on as United attack breaks down at the far post following neat play from Anderson and Giggs.

  • All-Stars goalkeeper Taweekul is called into action again, this time to parry a curling shot from Fabio. A comfortable save in the end.

  • United are feeling their way back into the game but Anderson's split pass finds only the All-Stars goalkeeper. On the sideline, the United substitutes are increasing the intensity of their warm-up.

  • United create their first moment of danger since the break and Janzaj is the architect. After a few players in red get a feel for the ball, the teenager ups the tempo and plays in Welbeck but his shot on the stretch is easy for the goalkeeper.
