The Manchester United youngster has missed the last two matches with a hamstring problem.

Craig Alcock was included on the bench against Birmingham on Saturday following his recent knee injury and the defender is likely to be involved once again.

The trip to the north west will come too soon for teenage left-back Kgosi Ntlhe, though. The South African made his long-awaited comeback from a broken ankle in the development squad last week.

He will play for the reserves again this week with a view to possibly being back in first-team contention for the trip to Blackburn on Saturday.

On-loan winger Alex Pritchard is still receiving treatment for an ankle injury back at parent club Tottenham.

The reverse fixture at London Road in December finished 5-4 in Peterborough's favour.

Bolton boss Dougie Freedman has no fresh injury worries.

Wanderers are looking to make it three wins in as many matches at the Reebok Stadium after following their 2-1 comeback win over neighbours Burnley with a comprehensive 4-1 triumph against promotion-chasing Hull at the weekend.

Marcos Alonso returned from suspension to face the Tigers, with Sam Ricketts switching from left-back to right-back to accommodate the former Real Madrid youngster and dislodging Tyrone Mears in the process.

January signing Medo Kamara made his Whites debut on Saturday and the former Partizan Belgrade man is pushing to feature once more.

Fellow midfielder Keith Andrews (Achilles/thigh) is expected to remain on the sidelines along with defender Matt Mills, who continues to step up his rehabilitation from a thigh injury.
