Marseille will hope to put a bad start to the year behind them and reignite their Ligue 1 title bid when they travel to struggling Evian.

OM have managed only four points from a possible 12 in 2013, losing at home to Nancy last weekend, and they have slipped six points behind leaders Paris St Germain and three adrift of second-placed Lyon.

Defender Souleymane Diawara is angry at his side's form, and said this week on the Ligue 1 website: "The attitude has changed from what it was at the start of the season. Today, we can lose to anyone.

"There's not a single player among us who can make us win a game. We have to all pull in the same direction to get results. If we don't, we won't succeed. We have to change our mentality.

"Everyone has to sort themselves out, and that doesn't mean yet another team meeting. I know we can do better, we've proven it, but I'm sick and tired of all these meetings to just go over the same old things.

"I'm disgusted by the results. But we're still third, and close to the leaders. I like to follow the motto a mountaineer once told me: to go higher, you must never look down. I've learned that lesson."

Marseille will be without midfielder Joey Barton following his red card against Nancy but Saber Khlifa has returned from the African Nations Cup and Alaixys Romao should make his debut.

Evian, who are only two points clear of the relegation zone, are likely to be without Brice Dja Djedje and Stephen Andersen through injury but captain Cedric Barbosa has recovered from a thigh problem.

Pascal Dupraz's side have won only one of their last nine league games, and only two home games all season, with goalscoring their main problem.

Striker Yannick Sagbo said: "We're not in great shape right now. Just like the rest of the team, we forwards are low on confidence. But we're working hard in training every day hoping that our luck will turn."
