  • Thank you for joining me Michael Glanville-Smith for commentary of this Group D match, be sure to tune in again for the tomorrow's Africa Cup of Nations matches. Take care

  • The result sees Algeria become the first team to crash out of the tournament while Togo will be left to fight Tunisia for the final knockout place in the group, Ivory Coast have already won group D.

  • The referee finally brings an end to the contest with the final score. Togo 2-0 Algeria.

  • Yellow Card Algeria, 5 Rafik Halliche

  • GOAL! A delightful through ball from midfield puts Dove Wome in on goal and the substitute shows excellent composure to slip it under the rushing M'Bohli and into the back of the net.

  • It has come to light that there will be 13 minutes of time added on apparently over and above what has already been played.

  • The game following a similar pattern with Algeria pushing for the equaliser and the Togolese defence repelling them.

  • No indication as to how much stoppage time will be added on for that truly bizarre stoppage of play.

  • With the posts replaced the referee is ready to resume the match.

  • Yellow Card Togo, 5 Serge Akakpo

  • One would expect a large chunk of time to be added on for the replacement of the posts.

  • It now appears that they are replacing the entire goalpost as it seems to have snapped.

  • Both sets of players are visibly irritated with the situation as we reach the end of regulation time.

  • The referee has called on the assistance of several groundsmen to try to remedy the situation, for the moment they are still gathered in the Togolese goalmouth.

  • Sofiane Feghouli went crashing into the back of the net after the last corner and that is what seems to have caused the problem.

  • An unusual stoppage in play at the moment as the Togolese goalpost seems to be unstable and leaning not unlike the leaning tower of Pisa.

  • Bezzaz cracks a powerful shot just wide of the right post after a corner was partially cleared to the edge of the box.

  • Substitution Algeria: 8 Lacen off, 11 Hamer Bouazza on.

  • Wome makes a powerful 60-yard run through the middle but blasts way over after reaching the edge of the area when he had options on either flank.

  • Algeria pushing hard for the equaliser, but the Togo back defence continues to keep them at bay, absorbing wave after wave of attacks by the Desert Foxes.
