  • Thanks for sticking with us this afternoon. Hope you enjoyed the game. See you next time.

  • Full-time: Everton 3-1 Reading

  • Hitzlsperger tries his luck with a trademark left-footer from 30 yards, but it was off target and Taylor was happy to watch it go wide.

  • Reading are heading to their third consecutive defeat in the league here, but are still battling for every ball. Full credit to McDermott's men.

  • So nearly a fourth for Everton as Anichebe streaks away from the Reading defence on the left and beats Taylor with a right-footed shot from an angle, but Harte had read the play and got back to the goalline to clear.

  • Deserved consolation for Reading as Harte sweeps in a superb ball in from the left for Robson-Kanu to score with a fine header into the top corner.

  • Goal! Everton 3-1 Reading (Hal Robson-Kanu)

  • Standing ovation at Goodison Park as the excellent Steven Pienaar comes off for Thomas Hitzlsperger.

  • Mirallas denied a second by a smart stop from Taylor after playing a neat one-two with, who else, Pienaar on the edge of the box and then letting a rasping right-footer fly from 20 yards.

  • And a change for Reading as Nick Blackman replaces Noel Hunt.

  • Anichebe replaces Leon Osman for Everton.

  • But Reading are still not giving in and McAnuff fires another shot goalwards that Mucha once again has to get down sharply to turn around the post. Excellent spirit from Reading.

  • Yet another chance for Everton as Gibson lets fly from over 25 yards but sees his shot whistle just the wrong side of the post. Victor Anichebe getting ready to come on.

  • Fine chance for Everton to make it 4-0 as Coleman sweeps in an excellent cross from the right for Jelavic, but it was just about the Croatian, who was also under pressure from Stephen Kelly. Everton are really enjoying themselves now.

  • Once again Reading respond well and Mucha has to get down well to keep out a Jobi McAnuff effort.

  • Game over. Pienaar was instrumental once again as he picked the ball up deep and threaded Mirallas through on goal in the left channel with a divine pass. The Belgian shaped to curl it into the far corner, but instead hooked it in at the near post.

  • Goal! Everton 3-0 Reading (Kevin Mirallas)

  • Massive shout for a penalty for Reading as Sylvain Distin clearly handles Le Fondre's cross, but the referee wasn't interested. In the build-up, Hunt and Heitinga clashed, leaving the Dutchman in a heap on the floor.

  • Everton are buoyant now and Mirallas has just gone a fraction away from making it 3-0. Collecting the ball inside the box on the left, he worked the ball on to his left foot and flashed a low shot just centimetres wide of the post. Reading are still battling hard but can't live with Everton's quality and look beaten.

  • Brilliant goal from Pienaar as he collects the ball from Fellaini on the right, runs towards goal, step-overs his way inside of Harte and then lets a rocket of a left-footer into the top corner from 20 yards. Fine strike.
