Captain Didier Degard is absent with a groin injury sustained in the first half at Bordeaux, while the visitors will also be without Mahamane Traore, who is at the African Nations Cup with Mali, and the suspended Renato Civelli for the trip to Brittany.
Following losses to AS Nancy, in the Coupe de France, and Bordeaux, coach Claude Puel is eager for his side to return to winning ways.

"We have solutions but it is true that you can not afford to have two or three players less.
"We have the answers in the group to overcome these defections.
"For us to quickly find new understanding and balance within the team, the group must work more. Everyone should try to do more for the team."
Nice have won four of their last six in Ligue 1, losing only to title-chasing Lyon and Bordeaux, with whom they are level on points entering the 23rd week of competition.
Puel will hope his side have enough to overcome Brest, who are 14th in the standings.
