Valenciennes coach Daniel Sanchez has identified Bastia's main threats and is confident of a victory on Saturday in their Ligue 1 clash.

Taking charge of his 50th game, Sanchez admits it will be a tricky match at the Stade Armand-Cesari, where they have yet to win in 15 attempts.

But his fifth-placed side are the form team going into the fixture and will be hoping to take all three points.

"Bastia is a good team," he said. "Bastia's attack is interesting."

Sanchez singled out Anthony Modeste, Jerome Rothen and Toifilou Maoulida as the main threats.

But he said it was important his players concentrated on their own game in order to cement their position in the top half of the table.

He added: "We are in the same situation before our trip to Lille (lost 2-1). Hopefully we will manage better."

Top scorer Anthony Le Tallec is still a doubt for Les Atheniens with an Achilles injury.

Bastia will be looking to bounce back in the league from their 5-2 mauling by high-flying Lyon last weekend, their habit of conceding goals continuing. They now have the worst defence in Ligue 1, conceding 26 goal in 11 games.

However Frederic Hantz's side will have been given a boost in midweek thanks to their 1-0 victory over Auxerre in the Coupe de la Ligue.
