Chesterfield travel to Port Vale on the back of three League Two wins in a row and with promotion still in their sights.
Paul Cook is now in charge at the Proact Stadium after leaving Accrington for a move across the fourth tier of English football and he's got things going in the right direction.
The Spireites now sit in 13th with a three-point gap to the play-off places and Cook spoke of his aim for the rest of the campaign after losing 2-1 at League One leaders Tranmere in the second round of the FA Cup last weekend.
"It hurts but the defeat gives us a chance to concentrate on the league and we need to improve our mentality now.
"We want to try and achieve promotion and we have 26 cup finals to play before we can achieve that.
"Competition for places is good but we have a long way to go and we know what we want to do from here on in."
Port Vale provide a big test for Chesterfield but it has been a frustrating week for Micky Adams' men.
The Valiants have been knocked out of the FA Cup and Johnstone's Paint Trophy in the space of four days but there is still plenty to play for in the league.
They sit just two points behind leaders Gillingham and will stay in the midst of the promotion battle - but Saturday could bring disappointment.
Chesterfield look worth backing for victory at 16/5 so do just that.
