Make it Millers

Rotherham are our expert Nick Hext's selection to win in npower League Two this weekend.

Back Steve Evans' Rotherham to defeat Dagenham.

Rotherham didn't start the campaign on fire but they have now found their feet to sit nicely placed inside the play-off positions.

Tuesday night's 1-1 draw at promotion rivals Fleetwood ended a run of four straight wins but there was still plenty for boss Steve Evans to smile about.

"It is a hard place to come to, we said it before and nothing changes," he told the club's official website after the match.

"I don't think the Fleetwood fans will see a better visiting performance this season. They saw their team get a draw, defending heroically for the best part of 45 minutes in the second half.

"We have to accept that the finishing wasn't where it should have been, to kill teams off. Micky Mellon is an honest manager and he will have seen his team get torn apart in the second half."

You can easily argue that Port Vale performed better than Rotherham as they won 5-2 at Highbury in September but Evans is right to point out his men are on the right track.

The Millers are looking solid on the road and the loan addition of Lee Frecklington has helped make them even stronger in midfield.

Saturday sees the New York Stadium outfit make the trip south to Dagenham and the price on offer for the away victory is well worth snapping up.

John Still's men performed well to win 4-2 at inconsistent Oxford in midweek but they were without a win in four before that and will end the season a long way behind Rotherham.

The Millers are clearly the call in this one.
