Gorkss: Reading must move on from their 7-5 defeat to Arsenal

Theo Walcott netted a hat-trick as the Gunners staged an incredible comeback from four goals down to book their place in the quarter-finals.

But Gorkss, while accepting a lack of concentration may have played a part, insists Brian McDermott's have the character to respond at QPR this weekend.

"It's hard to describe what happened - it's the first time something like that has happened in my career," said Gorkss.

"Even when you're 4-0 up you can't switch off against a team like Arsenal - they showed us what a world class team they are.

"We have ourselves to blame - we're going to analyse what went wrong but in general we're very disappointed.

"It's hard to say why we're throwing away leads. It might be a lack of concentration - we're letting teams back into the game when we should be finishing them off.

"It (the added time played) was well over four minutes which was disappointing but we have to keep playing until the final whistle."

"We're all professional footballers - even after a match like that. We need to pick ourselves up as soon as possible for a massive game on Sunday, which is more important.

"We need to start learning from our mistakes and do it very soon. It's important that we all stick together, do our job on the training ground and try to improve in areas we need to."
