Northern Ireland manager Nigel Worthington wants to remain in charge of the team after the World Cup qualifiers.
Worthington, whose contract is due to expire soon, has led his side to the brink of qualifying for next year's finals, but only a miraculous turnaround can help them to South Africa.
Despite it being unlikely that Northern Ireland will qualify, Worthington's team have performed admirably in the group stage and he wants to carry on in the post.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed it. It has been a great experience and has added to me as a manager," he told the Belfast Newsletter.
"If my ideas on moving forward are the same as the IFA's, there is no reason why we cannot sort something out. We will sit down and discuss it after the Czech Republic match."
Northern Ireland could still snatch second place in the group if they beat the Czech Republic, but it would mean Slovenia slipping up against minnows San Marino.
"There is a slight glimmer of hope that we can still qualify," Worthington added.
"We have to get a result and hope other results go our way. We moved forward and there are so many positives and we are looking for a good result.
"I think the disappointment was the first couple of games where we didn't get any points from the Slovakia and Slovenia games, when we deserved at least two draws.
"That will be the disappointment and after that the run of games when we were unbeaten for six I think, to get ourselves into a magnificent position, and the results against Poland in Belfast and away to Poland were outstanding."
