Paris St Germain's defensive worries will be partly alleviated by the return from suspension of Zoumana Camara for Thursday's UEFA Cup quarter-final first leg against Dynamo Kiev at the Parc des Princes.
Camara is serving a two-match domestic ban for a recent sending-off against Marseille in Ligue 1, and he missed PSG's 2-1 win over Nice in the league on Sunday.
But the defensive lynchpin is available for Europe and will partner Sammy Traore, who has recovered from a minor adductor strain, at centre-back tomorrow.
However, with Sylvain Armand (knee) and Mamadou Sakho (ankle) still out injured, young winger Tripy Makonda will continue to fill in at left-back.
Makonda, who has played in his usual position on the left flank in the UEFA Cup this season, believes it is an open playing field now the tournament is down to the last eight.
"All the teams still involved have the opportunity to go right to the end and we're going to do all we can to get there," said the 19-year-old.
"Playing in the quarter-final of the UEFA Cup does not happen to everyone. It's a special challenge to rise to.
"Kiev are a good team, the leader of their championship, and we have to be careful."
While PSG are four points off top spot in Ligue 1, their Ukrainian opponents are well clear at the summit of their domestic league.
Their 2-0 win at fourth-placed Metallurg Donetsk moved them 15 points above second-placed Shakhtar Donetsk with eight matches left and the title already appears sewn up.
The only black mark for Dynamo this weekend was the knee injury sustained by captain Taras Mikhalik, which rules him out of the visit to the French capital.
The Ukraine centre-back, who will now undergo arthroscopy surgery, is set to miss the second leg too and should be replaced by Goran Sablic.
Coach Yuri Semin can again count on Ayila Yussuf at centre-back, with the Nigerian back from a long-term injury, while former Le Mans striker Ismael Bangoura is expected to lead the line.
PSG coach Paul Le Guen normally rests veterans Claude Makelele and Ludovic Giuly for UEFA Cup ties and it should be no different this week.
Jerome Rothen is set to return on the left of midfield, allowing Peguy Luyindula to play up front.
