Getafe goalkeeper Roberto Abbondanzieri has urged his team-mates to make the most of their UEFA Cup showdown against mighty Bayern Munich on Thursday as the Spanish minnows continue their fairytale European adventure.
Few would have predicted at the start of the season that Getafe, who are playing at this level for the first time in their history, would still be involved at the quarter-final stage.
However, after defeating the likes of Tottenham, Anderlecht and Benfica en route to the last eight, few can now doubt the ability of Michael Laudrup's side, who have also reached the Copa del Rey final in Spain.
Getafe will be still firm underdogs going into their first leg at the Allianz Arena against four-time European champions Bayern, but for Abbondanzieri they should not fear the trip to Germany.
"It is a day to enjoy. I like to play against a team like Bayern and also to think that they are going to come to our stadium. You don't always play against these teams," said the Argentina international.
"What do we know of them? Well of course, they have internationals of the highest level, but this is the case with all the great teams. We also have them in our league and we don't give that so much relevance."
Getafe captain David Belenguer has warned Bayern that his side will be looking to score at least once on Thursday, believing that a goalless draw in Germany is not necessarily a good result for the Madrid-based outfit.
"It would be better if it was 1-1. Our first objective is to score and the second is to win the match," said the 35-year-old former Real Madrid youth-team product.
"We have been to other great European stadiums and we have obtained victories. So as Bayern will now discover, they have not been so lucky in the draw."
Getafe coach Laudrup should have Belenguer and winger Pablo Hernandez - the team's joint-leading scorer in the UEFA Cup with four goals - available in Munich.
The duo both missed last weekend's 2-0 league defeat at home to Osasuna through injury but they trained alongside their team-mates earlier this week and should be fit to face Bayern.
Midfielder Fabio Celestini also appears to have overcome his knock and means Laudrup has virtually a fully-fit squad for the match, although there is a question mark over centre-back Cara Diaz and full-back Lucas Licht is suspended.
The second leg will take place at Getafe's Coliseum Alfonso Perez on April 10, with the winners meeting either Bayer Leverkusen or Zenit St Petersburg in the semi-finals.
