Irvine Meadow got all they hoped for in the Active Nation Scottish Cup fourth-round draw when the junior side were handed a trip to Easter Road to face Hibernian.
General manager Iain McQueen admitted an away trip to a Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League side was their wish before the draw was made at Hampden.
Meadow are the only junior club left in the tournament following their 1-0 victory over Irn-Bru Second Division Arbroath on Saturday.
The Ayrshire side, who are in a mid-table position in the Stagecoach West of Scotland Super League Premier Division, will face the team currently sitting third in the SPL on January 9.
"It couldn't have worked out much better for us," said McQueen, whose team have also knocked out Selkirk and Brora Rangers.
"To go to a Premier League club, especially one of Hibs' calibre, is a tremendous feat for our club.
"I think if you're playing an SPL club, you really want to be playing them away from home.
"Realistically, the chances of us progressing are small so I think the best thing for us is to draw a team like Hibs away from home.
"Had we drawn a team from nearer our level, then most definitely we would have wanted them at home.
"It will help sustain the club over the next couple of seasons, which is very important because it's hard work raising funds for a junior.
"So this will be a massive, massive financial boost for the club."
McQueen, brother of former Scotland and Manchester United defender Gordon, added: "We'll take several thousand fans through there, I would expect. I'm sure the people in Irvine will turn out in numbers for this."
Hibs boss John Hughes vowed to do his homework on the underdogs as he relished the first meeting between a junior side and top-flight opposition since the cup was revamped for the 2007-08 season.
"First and foremost I'm delighted with the home draw," Hughes told www.hibernianfc.co.uk.
"We'll be happy to keep a clean sheet and get through to the next round but we'll need to do a professional job.
"Our homework will be thorough and we will do our preparation to get through the tie. We'll have them watched two or three times.
"I love the glamour of the Scottish Cup. Having played junior football myself I'm delighted a junior club like Irvine Meadow are getting to this stage."
Rangers face Hamilton in the competition for the second season running, having exorcised some of the demons of their shock 1987 defeat by Accies with a 5-1 quarter-final win.
But former Ibrox captain Richard Gough admits the Lanarkshire side have every chance of causing another upset on January 10 given Rangers' recent form.
"You are always looking for a home draw," Gough said. "Anything away from home, you are not as happy.
"You are always on dangerous territory away from home. League games are different.
"Smaller teams always think they've got a chance in the cup if they catch you on a bad day - and they have.
"So you've got to be right up for the game and play to your potential. If Hamilton play well, you can slip up. It's happened before, it's happened to me.
"In the Scottish Cup, I think I won three out of 10 attempts. I was much more successful in the League Cup for some reason. We slipped up a few times and there is potential for a slip-up.
"Hamilton won't be an easy game - especially with the way Rangers have been playing recently."
Celtic are also away, against Morton or Dumbarton, while there are two other all-SPL ties. Kilmarnock host Falkirk while Hearts must travel to Aberdeen, a draw Tynecastle boss Csaba Laszlo was not too pleased with.
"I think everyone hoped to have an easier opponent," he told Hearts World.
"They are very tough opponents but if you want to move to the next stage you must win, even in Aberdeen."
Elsewhere, Motherwell face a trip to Inverness, whom the Lanarkshire side beat 3-2 after extra-time in the Co-operative Insurance Cup earlier this season.
Dundee United travel to Glasgow to play former manager Ian McCall's Partick Thistle and St Johnstone visit Forfar, while St Mirren will host the winners of the replay between Cowdenbeath and Alloa.
Edinburgh City look to have the best chance of moving into the last 16 out of all the non-league clubs after drawing Montrose at home.
