32: United keep the ball well but the move breaks down after a miscontrol from Gibson. Besiktas break with purpose and win a corner after safety-first measures from Wes Brown.

31: Bobo looks bright for Besiktas. He's trying to make things happen. Invariably they break down and United attack.. again.

29: Welbeck does well to slide in Obertan and he looks certain to score... but the angle is just too tight and Rustu Recber makes the save.

28: 'Spaghetti legs' Obertan brings it forward for United. He's had a really good opening half an hour.

25: Really good football from Manchester United. They eventually work Welbeck in but he can only find the defender's legs. Another corner.

5: Great ball from Anderson to Macheda. The youngster holds it up well and shows great awareness to pick up Danny Welbeck, but his shot is blocked.

4: Bobo finds a yard 30 yards out and tries to slip a ball through the United defence, but Nemanja Vidic stands firm.

2: Early chance for United. Gabriel Obertan finds himself in loads of space on the United right and he hits a low cross right in front of the Besiktas goal - but Federico Macheda cannot reach it.
