Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola admits only time will tell how good a result their goalless Champions League draw with Rubin Kazan was.

Holders Barca went into the game looking to bounce back from their shock 2-1 home defeat to Rubin a fortnight ago, but despite bossing the game they could not find the breakthrough against the Russian champions in freezing conditions in Kazan.

The draw saw Barca slip to third in Group F after Inter Milan defeated Dynamo Kiev, although there are still only two points separating all four sides and all to play for in the final two rounds of matches.

"We will see if the point is good or bad at the end," said Guardiola.

"There are two games remaining and we have to try to win them. If we don't manage to do it then we don't deserve to get through to the last 16.

"It's a case of throwing away the calculator because we know that we have to win the final two games."

Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who came closest to breaking the deadlock when, after just three minutes, when he struck the far post after being put through on goal by Andres Iniesta, felt his side lacked luck.

"It was a similar game to the one in the Barcelona. We had a lot more chances (than Rubin) but we haven't had the luck," said the Sweden international.

"There are still two games to go and if we do things well then we will not have to worry. We will do everything to finish first in the group."

Midfielder Xavi added: "We depend on ourselves."
