Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen has singled out Liverpool as the team he would most like to face in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Having reached the Champions League final twice in the last three years, Liverpool are arguably the strongest of the eight teams which finished as runners-up in their respective groups, and the one most of Europe's big guns will probably be hoping to avoid.
However, Gudjohnsen would be delighted to see Barca paired alongside the Reds in next Friday's draw, so the Catalan giants can earn some payback for last season's exit at the hands of Rafael Benitez's men.
Barca were the defending European champions at the time, but they were dumped out at the first knockout stage on the away goals rule by Liverpool, who went on to reach the final where they lost to AC Milan.
Gudjohnsen, who scored his side's goal in the 1-0 second leg win at Anfield, said following Barca's 3-1 victory over Stuttgart on Wednesday night: "I want Liverpool in the last 16. I want revenge for what happened last year."
There is a lengthy break now before European football returns to the Nou Camp though, and Gudjohnsen knows they need to re-focus on their league challenge.
Barca are currently second in La Liga, four points behind leaders Real Madrid with two huge games before Christmas.
The first sees them travel to Valencia this weekend, before then playing host to arch-rivals Real in their final league match of the year.
"Now we have to concentrate on the league. We have two very important games coming up," Gudjohnsen said on his club's website.
Fellow striker Samuel Eto'o also turned his thoughts to this Saturday's trip to the Mestalla after netting his first Barca goal since returning from a long injury lay-off against Stuttgart on Wednesday.
"I'm very happy, more for the way we played than for the goal," said the Cameroon international. "I hope everything continues like this.
"We mustn't get obsessed by the opponent in the last 16.
"Now we have to think about Saturday's match against Valencia. Our only objective is to come back with the three points."
